On Friday 25/2 afternoon the Minister of Internal Affairs, Makis Voridis (former member of a fascist organization), was about to attend at an event of the party in power in our town, Messolonghi (Western Greece). A small group of anarchists and antifascists we stood spontaneously on the walkway close to the café where the event would take place in order to express our “hospitality” to him and his friends. It didn’t take long to the police to arrive, blocking the path to the café and trying to keep us away from the gathered crowd (members of the party, congressmen, mayors). For about 2 hours we stand near the cafe shouting antifascist slogans, while also passengers (students, workers) joined the demo against the cop block by jeering, throwing oranges and bottles.
Just a few minutes before the end of the event, arrived reinforcements to the police, circled us and attacked in order tο drive us out of the walkway. Amid the following man to man conflict, a cop injured in the head and most of the people scattered around.
Later on, the police arrested 10 people while searching another one, who was to blame for the injury of the cop (he was arrested two days later). Finally 7 people charged with misdemeanors and 2 with felonies relating the injury. Each of the last mentioned 2 comrades has to pay 3.000€ bail to avoid custody and attend to the local police station 3 times per month. Appeals were filed against the bails and now we are waiting the decision of the court’s council in an unspecific time.

Au vendredi après-midi (25/2) le Ministre de l'Intérieur, Makis Voridis (ancien member d'une organisation fasciste) a assisté un événement du parti au pouvoir dans notre commune, Messolonghi (Grèce – occidentale). Un petit groupe d'anarchistes et d'antifascistes, avait tenu près de la cafétéria – où l’ événement s'était réalisé – pour exprimer son “hospitalité” à lui et ses amis. La police est arrive en peu de temps, a bloqué la route autour de la cafétéria et a essayé de nous éloigner de la foule rassemblée (members du parti et du congrès, maires). Pour deux heures environ nous nous tenons près du café en criant des slogans antifascists et les passageurs (étudiants, ouvriers) raillent les flics et jetent des oranges et des bouteilles.
Quelques minutes avant la fin de l' événement des renforts sont arrivés à la police, nous ont encerclés et ont attaqué afin de nous chasser de la passerelle. Au milieu du conflit d'homme à homme qui a suivi, un flic blessé à la tête et la plupart des gens se sont disperses.
Plus tard, la police a arrêté 10 personnes alors qu'elle en fouillait une autre, responsable de la blessure du flic (il a été arrêté deux jours plus tard). Enfin 7 personnes inculpées de délits et 2 de crimes liés à la blessure. Chacun des 2 derniers camarades mentionnés doit payer une caution de 3 000 € pour éviter la garde à vue et se présenter au poste de police local 3 fois par mois. Des appels ont été déposés contre les cautions et maintenant nous attendons la décision du conseil du tribunal dans un délai indéterminé.

Την Παρασκευή 25/2 απόγευμα πληροφορηθήκαμε για τον ερχομό του Μάκη Βορίδη σε εκδήλωση της ΝΔ σε καφετέρια στο κέντρο της πόλης. Αυθόρμητα ολιγάριθμα άτομα σταθήκαμε στο δρόμο δίπλα στην καφετέρια αποφασισμένα να εκδηλώσουμε τη φιλοξενία μας απέναντι στον Βορίδη και στους παρατρεχάμενους τοπικούς και περιφερειακούς λακέδες. Δεν άργησε να εμφανιστεί ομάδα της ΟΠΚΕ που απέκλεισε το δρόμο προς την καφετέρια και κλιμακωτά προσπαθούσε να μας απωθήσει, ενώ αστυνομικοί διοικητές με απειλές και τραβήγματα λυσσομανούσαν να μας διώξουν. Όσο κυλούσε ο χρόνος όλο και περισσότερος κόσμος –περαστικοί, μαθητές και μαθήτριες– συσπειρωνόταν απέναντι στον αποκλεισμό των μπάτσων και για περίπου μιάμιση ώρα άτακτα ακούγονταν συνθήματα, γιουχαρίσματα και εκτοξεύονταν νεράντζια, πορτοκάλια προς τους θαμώνες της εκδήλωσης.
Τη στιγμή που ολοκληρωνόταν η εκδήλωση στη καφετέρια το σώμα της συγκέντρωσης δέχεται απρόκλητη επίθεση από άλλη ομάδα της ΟΠΚΕ, από πλαϊνό δρόμο. Στη σύγκρουση που ακολούθησε σώμα με σώμα ανοίγει το κεφάλι ενός μπάτσου και ο περισσότερος συγκεντρωμένος κόσμος διασκορπίζεται στα στενά της πόλης.
Το ίδιο βράδυ ακολουθούν 10 προσαγωγές ενώ καταζητείται άλλο ένα άτομο στα πλαίσια του αυτοφώρου καθώς του φορτώνουν τον τραυματισμό του μπάτσου ( συνελήφθη έπειτα από δύο μέρες). Τελικά 7 άτομα διώκονται για πλημμελήματα (διατάραξη κοινής ειρήνης) και 2 για κακούργημα( βαριές σωματικές βλάβες) σχετικά με τον τραυματισμό του μπάτσου και στους οποίους έχουν επιβληθεί εκδικητικοί περιοριστικοί όροι με εγγυήσεις 3.000 ευρώ έκαστος. Προσφυγές κατατέθηκαν ενάντια στους περιοριστικούς όρους και αναμένετε η απόφαση του συμβουλίου σε απροσδιόριστο χρονικό διάστημα.
Δε μας εκπλήσσουν οι εκβιασμοί, οι απειλές, οι απόπειρες τραμπουκισμού, o ένστολος φασισμός, οι μηχανορραφίες των διώξεων σε μια συντονισμένη προσπάθεια να τρομοκρατήσουν όποιον και όποια υψώνει ανάστημα ενάντια σε κράτος και εξουσία, ενάντια στον εκφασισμό των δρόμων. Μας πεισμώνουν. Από την μικρή πόλη του Μεσολογγίου έως κάθε γωνιά του πλανήτη - σημασία έχει να μην έχουμε σταματημό, μέχρι τα αποκαΐδια του κράτους και κάθε μορφής εξουσία.
Δύναμη και Αλληλεγγύη στους διωκόμενους συντρόφους.
Για όσα μας παίρνουν κάθε μέρα. Ζωή κι ανάσα, Αγώνας.
